Welcome to Kings’ School Dubai, an outstanding British Primary school founded in 2004, adjacent to the iconic Burj Al Arab. We are the only school in the United Arab Emirates to have achieved an ‘outstanding’ rating by the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau every year since inspections began.
The original school in a family of three Kings’ Schools, we all share the same key value – ‘The Best By Every Child’. This is the essence of our work and what we all strive for every day. As a community, including children, teachers, leaders, support staff and parents, we know that working together in strong partnerships is the most effective way of supporting all our children as they strive to reach their full potential.
We are very proud of our British heritage and our thriving international community which is made up of many nationalities from around the globe. It is this combination of community and world-class educational standards that delivers such a high-quality, well-rounded, international education.
At Kings’ School Dubai we follow the National Curriculum for England as a framework which we then adapt to ensure a conceptual, integrated and enriched learning experience for our young learners. It is important that we contextualize the curriculum so that children understand what they are learning and why, by using the environment around them. It is also influenced by the individual and evolving needs of our children. The result is a rigorous bespoke curriculum, relevant to children growing up in Dubai but designed to produce happy and successful global citizens, ready to take their place in the world.
Our outstanding teaching is creative and forward-thinking: we are always seeking innovative ways to inspire a lifelong love of learning in our young people. We believe that the way children are taught is as important as what they learn. Our approach is holistic, incorporating academic excellence and the attainment of skills as well as knowledge. We ensure a supportive environment focused on student happiness, health and well-being. We encourage our children to be active learners in every aspect of school life, inspiring independent, self-motivated and resilient individuals. The results speak for themselves with students achieving exceptional attainment, progress and success within and beyond the curriculum.
Kings’ School Dubai has outstanding facilities, from state-of-the-art technology throughout the school and classrooms, to extensive sporting facilities including an astro football pitch, two hard courts and a 50m running track, a gymnasium and a 25m swimming pool. It also boasts two inspiring performing arts auditoriums.
Schools should be special places, filled with happiness, curiosity and investigation, with inspiring teachers, challenging learning experiences and rich memorable activities. Kings’ School Dubai is just such a place, set in a beautiful campus, staffed by highly qualified teachers and exceptional leaders. It is a place of educational distinction, focused on achieving ‘The Best By Every Child’.
