GEMS Our Own English High School, Dubai, we aim to maintain a hassle-free admissions process whilst adhering to the compliance policies of the KHDA and GEMS Education. Co-education is followed from kindergarten to Grade 4 and only girls are admitted in Grades 5 to 12. While boys can study till Grade 4, the school holds no responsibility regarding securing admission for boys after Grade 4.

Registration
The first stage of the admissions process is online registration, which takes place in October of each year. Parents seeking admission for their children must register their interest online by filling in the Student Registration form.
KG1
Students will have to complete 4 years of age as on 31st March of the year for them to be admitted into KG1.
Grade 1
Students will have to complete the 6 years of age, as on by 31st March of the year to be admitted into Grade 1.
Documentation
The following documents must be submitted along with the student’s application form:
- 4 photocopies of the student’s passport with valid UAE Visa.
- 5 recent photographs of the student: size – 6×4 cm.
- 3 photocopies of the student’s Birth Certificate in English or Arabic (Attach the original for verification).
- 1 copy of the Emirates ID of the child and the parents.
- Photocopy of the mark sheet of the last examination passed at the previous school (Applicable for admission to Grade 1 and above).
- Original vaccination card and one photocopy of the same.
- The original Emirates ID cards of the student and the parents, and one photocopy of each. The original Emirates ID will be returned immediately after it has been scanned.
- Students seeking admission to the school from Grade 2 and above are required to submit the original Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate of the school last attended, duly attested as per the guidelines given below.
For students coming from India
- The original Transfer Certificate (T.C) has to be verified by the Local Education Authority from where the T.C has been obtained.
- The seal and signature of the Education Officer has to be attested by the Indian Consulate in Dubai.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dubai/Sharjah-UAE to further attest the T.C.
For students coming from Gulf Countries other than the UAE & Oman
- The original Transfer Certificate has to be attested by the Indian Consulate in that country.
- The Transfer Certificate has to be verified by the Local Education Ministry of that country.
- The Transfer Certificate has to be attested by the External Affairs Ministry of that particular country.
- The U.A.E. Consulate or Embassy in that particular country has to attest it.
For students coming from Oman
All the above attestations excluding No. 2 to be completed.
- Students coming from other emirates within the UAE are required to submit the original Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate of the school last attended, duly attested by the Ministry of Education of that emirate.
- Students coming from schools in Dubai have to apply for the Transfer Certificate from the previous school and it will be transferred online.
- All admissions from KG to Grade XII done after 15th June require a studying/ discontinued T.C. which is valid for only 30 days from the last date of attendance. All attestations remain the same as above.

Application Fee
Application Fee AED 525 (VAT inclusive) will be due upon completion of online registration. Application fee is non-transferable, non-adjustable and non-refundable
Registration Deposit
Registration deposit of 10% of annual tuition is charged at the time of admission. The registration deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable but adjustable against the total tuition fee for the academic year.
ID Card & School Diary
A one-off fee of AED 30 is charged for student’s ID Card and School Diary
Payment Policies
The tuition fees are due prior to the start of the academic year and payable in advance of attendance, at the start of each month. Tuition fees will be invoiced from the time of admission to ensure that payments can be processed before the start of the month. If your circumstances change, it is essential that you contact us in advance of the deadline so that we can guide you on available options. Please note, all tuition fees are in accordance with the fee structure established by GEMS Education under the guidance of KHDA established School Fee Framework.
Our fee payment process has been carefully designed with parents in mind, ensuring it is as simple, straightforward, and convenient as possible.
Payments
- All tuition fees are payable in advance of attendance, according to the fee structure established by GEMS under the guidance of KHDA’s School Fee Framework. For further information, please see KHDA Fee Frame Work.
- All tuition fees payable in a year will be collected in 10 installments and will not be collected in July and August.
- Tuition fees may also be paid in advance.
Payment Methods
We offer a number of payment methods, allowing our parents to choose an option that works for them.
Online Payment
Making an online payment is quick and easy. Simply access our dedicated online facility using Parent login. If you encounter any problems during the login or payment process, please contact helpdesk_ood@gemsedu.com for further assistance.
School Fee Counter
Cash, credit card, and cheque payments can be made at the School Fee Counter, which is open 7:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. (Sunday to Thursday) during school working days.
When making a payment at the School Fee Counter, please ensure that you bring the relevant Student ID Number. If you are making a cheque payment, the cheque should be made payable to ‘Our Own English High School – Dubai’. Post dated cheques will not be accepted.
Please note, it is important that all fees are paid on time. If fees are not paid, such students’ academic results will be withheld.
