In the contemporary education era, there is a tough competition between educational institutions. The United Arab Emirates has focused to build a mass scale education systemrevolutionizing its education system aligning itself both with a Modern and Western approach.
Approximately 74 percent of students are enrolled in private schools, representing a huge part of the education system. This is mostly due to the transient nature of the expatriate population that opts for international schools. There is an increasing demand for private-sector education in the UAE.
The challenge lies in providing quality education and that’s where KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority), Dubai’s regulatory authority for Education steps in to ensure that each student is taught in a benevolent manner.
Every year KHDA inspects various schools in Dubai and gives an overview of strength, weakness and success stories of schools.
Key Focus Areas of KHDA’s school inspection:
-Prerequisite for Emirati students
-Academic achievement of Students
-Provision for Moral education in the curriculum
-Provision of Students with Special Education needs and disabilities (SEND)
-Innovation within school curriculum
