AIS provides an outstanding international education based on an enhanced British curriculum. At the heart, our vision is to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who are motivated to succeed.
With an emphasis on establishing an international perspective, Amity International School provides a challenging and engaging environment in which students are encouraged to excel intellectually, academically and socially, equipping them with the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Through project-based teaching, which connects subjects together, our students acquire knowledge and skills within a framework that enables them to question, retain and build upon their learning.
Our school is located on a state of the art 15 acre campus, very close to Yas Island. This unique location allows us to offer extensive sports and arts facilities. All of our students are encouraged to discover and develop their talents both during the school day and by taking part in our numerous co-curricular activities and sports clubs. Our boat house boasts Royal Yacht Association accreditation. A wider range of activities are offered including sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding and wind surfing, taking full advantage of our unique location by the bay.
Amity International School provides an engaging and challenging learning environment where students are encouraged to excel intellectually, academically and socially. We ensure that our students achieve their highest potential by fostering their natural desire to learn with a personalised educational programme, project- based learning and guided enquiry. We promote the development of independent thinking, critical analysis, emotional intelligence and communication skills to prepare our students to become successful world citizens.

At the start of the academic year, admission from Year 3 upwards is dependent on a Transfer Certificate to ensure continuity of education for every child. This is particularly important when transferring from a different curriculum. Children joining us during the academic year must also provide a Transfer Certificate from Reception – Year 11.
The next step for admissions
In order to give your child the best education and learning environment, and to ensure that Amity International School is a great match for them, we believe it is very important to get to know each child before they join. Our Admissions team will contact you to book an appointment, once your child’s application is received. You will find more details below for each stage.
Nursery and Reception Programme
Children applying for our Nursery and Reception Programme are invited to a play session where we can understand your child’s development as well as your aspirations for their education. These sessions are very relaxed, there are no hidden tests to pass or fail and no need to prepare your child to perform.
Years 1 and 2
Children will be invited to meet with the Registrar to give us a better understanding of their speech and language development. The Admissions Team will be with your child throughout the informal meeting. We’ll also need a copy of your child’s last school or nursery report, ideally before the meeting.
Key Stage 2 and 3 (Years 3 to 9)
Applicants will be asked to take our admission assessments designed to measure academic readiness for the year your child is applying for. We will also need a copy of your child’s last report for a broad overview of their capabilities.
Overseas Applications
If you currently live overseas, we will do our best to process your child’s application based on their most recent report or organise a Skype assessment
