The German International School Dubai (DISD) is a recognized, excellent German school abroad as well as a modern, innovative and learning school with heart and high quality standards.

From kindergarten through Primary School and Secondary School to the Deutsches Internationales Abitur
(German A-level exam, DIA) the approximately 950 students are developing into true global citizens. In the spirit of the DISD mission statement, they learn in a respectful and open-minded atmosphere.

DISD offers an outstanding, inspiring learning environment with science laboratories, libraries and modern sports facilities that meet the needs of students in all areas. It promotes the unique German engineering spirit and strives for STEM excellence (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology). All classes at Primary School and Secondary School work with the latest IT technologies, using an innovative, evidence-based approach. DISD’s students thrive in a multilingual environment, developing into true global citizens, with German as a core competency. Many of the students reach the level of a native speaker in English and Arabic, in addition to German.

Founded in 2008, the German school in Dubai is located in Academic City and is owned by the German Consulate General. Classes are taught in German according to the Thuringian curriculum. In addition to the Abitur, the DISD awards the Hauptschulabschluss and Mittleren Schulabschluss.

The team consists of highly qualified and motivated employees. Together with its student, the Advisory Board of the school association and the actively involved parents, the DISD sees itself as a school family.
